Alvin L. Hall's Obituary
Alvin L. Hall, age 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, October 4, 2017. He was born May 14, 1942 in Fremont, MI to John and Laura (Coburn) Hall. Mr. Hall was a 1960 graduate of Grant High School and served his country in the United States Navy as a submariner. On August 22, 1964, he married the former Marie A. Robinson in Grant, MI. Alvin was an electrician for many years and had owned and operated A.L. Hall Electric in Muskegon. Along with his wife, Marie, they attended Grant Community Church and while living in Muskegon also attended McGraft Congregational Church. He was a member of the Antique John Deere Club, was a faithful Michigan State fan, enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all, loved spending time with family. SURVIVORS include his wife, Marie of Grant; son, Michael (Trisha) Hall of Norton Shores; 4 grandchildren: Erin (Michael) Tucker, Landen Hall, Lauren Hall, and Leah Hall; great-grandson, Patrick Tucker; brother, John (Sandy) Hall of South Dakota; sister, Ellyne Stephan of Grand Rapids; and many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Shannon Marie Hall in 1993. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Grant Community Church (115 W. State Rd., Grant, MI 49327) with Pastor Steve VanderWest officiating. VISITATION with the family will be from 2-5 PM Sunday, October 15, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will take place in Ashland Cemetery.
