Mr. Alvin Roy Henderson's Obituary
Alvin Roy Henderson, 53, passed away Sunday January 15, 2023, in Muskegon Heights Mi. He was born July 23, 1969, to Johnnie Lee Sr. and Cora Bell Henderson in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident. He attended Muskegon Heights public schools. He enjoyed grilling and lending a helping hand to others. Alvin was a man of many talents and enjoyed spending time with his family. On June 12, 1999, Alvin married Kimberly E. (Johnson), and with that union they have 1 daughter: Trianna Leigh Henderson. Alvin leaves behind his loving wife of 24 years, Kimberly. Alvin also leaves behind 2 sons, Antonio (Latrece) Henderson-McDaniel, Arien (Amanda) McDaniel and 2 bonus daughters; Ashlee (Tyreese) Payne Sr, Taylor (Darren) Thomas, 13 grandchildren and a host of special nieces and nephews. Alvin was the youngest of 12 siblings. Johnnie Lee Henderson Jr, Kenneth Henderson, Deborah (Bishop David) Wimbley, Carol (Melvin, Sr.) Lane, Linda Lane, David (Cynthia) Henderson, and Marie (Robert) Beverly. He was preceded in death by his father, Bishop Johnnie Lee Henderson Sr. and his mother, Cora Bell Henderson. As well as 4 siblings, Shirley Lewis, Richard, Rita, and Sharon Henderson. The funeral service for Alvin will be held Monday, January 23, at 11:00 AM at Zion Tabernacle House of God, 1282 4th Street Muskegon, MI 49441. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Mona View Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
