Mrs. Alvina E. Swarvar's Obituary
Mrs. Alvina E. Swarvar, age 85, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 in Muskegon. She was born in Newaygo County on October 5, 1927 to William and Beulah (Rogers) Sweet and was a life resident of the Muskegon area. Mrs. Swarvar was a member of Muskegon Church of Christ and former member of Evanston Ave. Church of Christ. She was a caring and compassionate woman, but above all, she was a mom. She loved her family and people in general, and always expressed her care, concern, and love to everyone she could. On December 30, 1950, Alvina married Archie Swarvar in Muskegon, MI and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1985. She is survived by her 2 sons, Witte (Karen) Swarvar of Big Rapids and Randy (Jacquie Fisher) Swarvar of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Clifford and Cletus Sweet and 1 sister, Virginia Thomas. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday, June 3, 2013 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday, June 2, 2013. Burial will be in Mona View Cemetery. Alvina’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sanctuary at the Park for the loving care they gave their mom throughout the past five years.
