Alvin T. Boucher's Obituary
Mr. Alvin (Al) Boucher, age 90, died Saturday morning, June 25, 2005 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on January 27, 1915 to Albert and Ruby (Mason) Boucher. Other than living in Chicago for a while, he has resided in the Muskegon area for most of his life. He retired as a salesman from the former Stationary Supply Company. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he was a former usher, worked on the Pledge Drive for securing funds for the new church building, and was a former member of the Holy Name Society Men’s Club. He married Dolores (La) Chandonnet of June 5, 1937. Alvin is survived by his wife of 68 years, and two daughters, Charmaine Boucher of California and Michelle (Chuck) Fialek of Newaygo; one sister, Glenna Mae Lennox of Naperville, IL; two sisters-in-law, Beulah (Gordon) Boucher of Holland, MI and Emilie (Woodrow) Boucher of West Frankfort, IL; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends. His parents and three brothers, Robert and Woodrow Boucher of IL, and Gordon Boucher of Traverse City, and son Thomas Boucher preceded him in death. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. VISITATION at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd.,(231) 759-8565, will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday, and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
