Mr. Alvirty G. “Al” Traxler, Jr., age 49, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 16, 2009. He was born December 3, 1959 in Muskegon to Alvirty G. “Bert” and Shirley (Homrich) Traxler, Sr. Al was a 1978 graduate of Fruitport High School. He was an avid bowler, softball player (where he was known as “Bird”), and Muskegon hockey fan. SURVIVORS include his mother, Shirley Traxler of Muskegon; 2 brothers, George (Cathy) Traxler of Florida, Craig (Sandra) Traxler of Muskegon; sister, Ruthann (Steven) Baker of Hart; nephew, David (Anna Ruth) Traxler of Florida; niece, Lindsie Traxler of Muskegon; and a great friend, Mike Fuller, Jr. and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvirty G. “Bert” Traxler, Sr. and by 2 brothers, Lawrence and Bryan Traxler. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
