A. Lyle Hansen's Obituary
Mr. Albert “Lyle” Hansen, age 83, died Saturday afternoon, November 14, 2009, in Fremont. He was born September 20, 1926 in Muskegon to A. Gleason and Edith (Scott) Hansen; and resided here until retiring to Green Valley, Arizona for 14 years; before moving to Fremont in 2004. Lyle retired in 1988 as Supervisor of Carriers for the U.S. Postal Service here in Muskegon, where he had been employed 18 years. He previously had been employed at Continental Motors for 10 years, working for $0.79 per hour in 1943. He was a WW II U.S. Navy veteran. Lyle was a member of the Fremont Nazarene Church and had formerly been a member of the Muskegon Woodmere Church of God where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He was also a former member of the chancel choir of Green Valley Arizona. On October 19, 1946 Lyle married the former Juantita Marie Bromley and she survives him along with 2 sons, Brian (Luella) Hansen of Clarkston, MI and Barry Hansen of Holton, MI; 2 grandchildren, Matthew (Shawn) Hansen and Jennifer (Douglas) Hughes; 3 great-grandchildren, Kateland and Christian Hansen and Brenna Hughes.
