Amanda Lynne Cihak's Obituary
Amanda Lynne Cihak, age 44, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 following a courageous seven year battle against stage four breast cancer. Amanda was born on February 1, 1981 to Marvin and Janet (Aubil) Wegner. She graduated from North Muskegon High School, class of 1999. Amanda continued her education at Hope College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and Grand Valley University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was employed by Corwell Health Gerber Hospital as a Nursing Manager and had previously been employed at Trinity Health Muskegon as a nurse. Amanda excelled at athletics, having earned all-state honors in Tennis, Volleyball, and Softball, and being inducted into the Muskegon Area Sports Hall of Fame in 1999. Later in life, she took great pride in watching and supporting her children in their many activities. Amanda is survived by her children, Kayla Cihak and Cameron Cihak; her former husband and lifelong friend, Charlie Cihak; her mother, Janet Wegner; brother, Daniel (Kelli) Wegner; other loving family, Charles and Linda Cihak, Mackenzie and Mike Richardson, Leslie Cihak, and Whitney and Matt Boyle; nieces and nephews, Avery, Lucas, Porter, Baylor, and Khi; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Wegner. VISITATION for Amanda will be held from 5-8 PM Friday, June 20, 2025 at Laketon Bethel Church (1568 W. Giles Rd., Muskegon, MI 49445). A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Laketon Bethel Church.
