Andrew J. Bloemers' Obituary
Andrew “Andy” John Bloemers, age 60, of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, at home, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Andy was born October 9, 1962, to Roger and Marie (Storkan) Bloemers in Grand Haven, MI. After graduation from Grand Haven High School in 1981, he went on to obtain his Bachelor’s degree from Hope College in 1985. Andy worked as a broker/dealer in fixed equities. He worked for several companies and eventually managed his own firm, First Integrity Capital, in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was also the president for the Via Jardin Condominium Association.
Andy was an avid collector of many things including cars, motorcycles, and western art. Although he lived in Florida, Andy considered Michigan his home. He had a great love for his dogs, especially his Rottweiler, Dutch. On February 14, 2003, Andy married the love of his life, Kaci Kearns. They enjoyed numerous trips to Europe and skiing in Aspen. They also spent time in Grand Haven during the summer and were members of the Spring Lake Country Club.
Andy will be greatly missed by his wife Kaci of West Palm Beach; parents, Roger and Marie (Storkan) Bloemers of Grand Haven; sister, Lisa (Michael) VanSchelven of Grand Haven; and niece, Madeline VanSchelven. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 11am at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417. A MEMORIAL GATHERING will be held immediately following in the VanZantwick Chapel Family Center. A private family INTERMENT at the Lake Forest Cemetery will be held.
