I have fond memories of being neighbors with the Hulings in Fruitport in the 1980s with our houses directly across the street from each other. While Kristie and Tony were closer to my age, Andy was the youngest at the time.
I will never forget the picture in the good ole’ Fruitport Area News. We made the front page after a huge tree in a wind gust had fallen over onto their car and garage while we were playing ball in their driveway right underneath. I grabbed Andy in my arms since he was a toddler (Tony could run and I think he ran for miles before someone caught him!).
It made for a good neighborhood feel good story at the time (see the attached pic I still have). A cherished memory that will live on forever for me. The friendships of our youth may come and go, but those bonds and memories stick to our soul and I’m so grateful for those times even in the ups and downs.
My deepest sympathy and prayers to the Hulings and extended family for your loss. May God bless you and comfort you.
Jeff
