Andrew J. Trombley Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Andrew J. Trombley Sr., age 89, passed away early Saturday morning, July 18, 2009, at his residence. He was born November 2, 1919 in Plattsburgh N.Y. to Felix and Alma (Roy) Trombley. He served his Country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 11. Andrew married the former Jennie Szot in Muskegon on January 15,1949. She preceded him in death on January 24, 2001. Andy had worked as a paper maker for 39 years at the former S.D. Warren Paper Mill, prior to his retirement. Andrew was a long time member of St Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Andrew loved his volunteer work at Mercy Health Partners, family gatherings, playing cribbage with family and friends, and the comradery of the gazebo group at his home. His SURVIVORS include his special friend, Helen Ferski; 7 children, Alma (Larry) Sayer, Andrew (Christine) Trombley, Jr. all of Muskegon, Patricia (Eugene) Egeler of Fruitport, Mary Trombley, James Trombley, John (Kathy) Trombley, and Steven (Joann) Trombley, all of Muskegon; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren ( and 3 on the way); 2 brothers, Alfred (Sylvia) Trombley of Chazy, N.Y. and Thomas Trombley of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; 3 sisters, Roseann Soucy, Almire Fredette, and Gloria Morrow all of Plattsburgh, N.Y., a sister-in-law, Yvonne Szot of Muskegon; and many nieces nephews, cousins, and friends. Andy was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 5 sisters. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11AM Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church Marian Chapel (2929 McCracken) with Rev. Fr. Anton Tran as Celebrant. VISITATION will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at
