Angela H. Sluyter (Belanger)'s Obituary
Angela H. Sluyter (Belanger), age 55, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019. She was born April 14, 1963 to Joseph and Violet (Schaub) Belanger. Angela was a 1981 graduate of Mona Shores High School and for 12 years worked for LJ’s Pantry in North Muskegon. She was a people person, loved going on adventures with her grandchildren, was a prankster, enjoyed having a good time, and cuddling with her fur babies. Angela was also an avid baker, especially her no-bake cookies and peanut butter pie, and belonged to a ladies BUNKO group for many years. SURVIVORS include her husband, Rick; 3 children: Michael (Hayley) Belanger of Adrian, MI, Alyssa (James Sumerix) Belanger of Muskegon, Dillon Sluyter of North Muskegon; 4 grandchildren: Aubrie, Mason, Kennedy, Weston, and Mike’s Zoo; her mother, Violet Belanger of Norton Shores; 3 sisters: Pam (Joel) Beals, Jan (Kenneth) Zellar, Melinda (Jim) Hoppus; and several nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Belanger; 1 grandchild; and a niece, Amy Raymond. A CELEBRATION OF ANGELA’S LIFE will be held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the VFW Post 3195, 5209 Grand Haven Rd., Norton Shores, MI 49441. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society or the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
