Angela Lyn Williams' Obituary
Angela Lyn Williams, age 60, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Angie was born on March 31, 1963, in Muskegon, to Julius and Judith (Mathews) Williams. She graduated from Muskegon High School in 1981 and spent most of her life in the area. Angie was a proud tribal member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. She worked various retail jobs over her lifetime, and also as a social worker for many years. Angie was the life of whatever party she was at and she loved fireworks and dancing. She enjoyed playing Keno and eating Fricano’s pizza, and spending time with friends at Pop a Top. She loved listening to music, especially the Beatles, REO Speedwagon, and Styx. She was a caring person who liked to volunteer and take care of others, especially the cats that she fed around the neighborhood. She was an excellent gardener and cook, but more than anything she loved her children. Angie will be lovingly remembered by her two children, James Cody and Lesley (Ryan Powell) Cody; siblings: Nick (Penney) Swan, Edward Williams Jr, Lesley (Greg) Morano, Jeffrey Williams, Jerry Williams, and also Melanie Townsend and Charles Belisle; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; the father of her children, James (Shawn) Cody; two beloved cats, Joey DiMaggio and Mercedes Benz; and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Judith Williams; sister, Marcia (Verne) Morse; niece, Rachael Williams; and two nephews, James Townsend and Fred Harjer. A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held for Angie from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444.
