Angela D. "Angie" Portincasa's Obituary
Mrs. Angela D. “Angie” Portincasa, age 91, died Tuesday evening, February 28, 2006 in Valparaiso, IN. She was born October 1, 1914 in LaSalle, IL to Carmin and Teresa (Saprito) Dionise, had resided in Muskegon since 1932, and due to an illness moved to Valparaiso, IN to live with her daughter. Mrs. Portincasa worked 18 years as a secretary for Angell School in the Muskegon Public School system before her retirement. She had been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Women’s Guild before its closing. She then transferred her membership to St. Michael Catholic Church. For many years, she volunteered at Mercy Hospital. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Lou Ann Portincasa of CA, Carolyn “Pudgie” (Michael) Flahive of IN, Peter Portincasa of CA, Michael (Krista) Portincasa of Delaware; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Flahive, Sarah, Jonathon, Alexandra, and Gabrielle Portincasa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmin and Teresa Dionise; 3 brothers, Paul, Peter, Angelo; and 2 sisters, Angela and Rose. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11:00 AM Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. James Wyse presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be from 2-5 PM Sunday at
