Anita Louise Benes' Obituary
Anita Louise Benes, age 69, of Grand Haven, Michigan, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024, following a courageous battle with Leukemia. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Ellen Benes Gedeon; nephews, Joshua (Carrie) Gedeon, Patrick (Sarah) Gedeon; niece, Meaghan (Joel Brown) Gedeon; great-nieces, her ”Disney Princesses”, Vivian, and Adeline Gedeon. She was always ready for fun and adventure with her cousins, Sharon Nyenhuis Munski, Amy Nyenhuis, and James “Jim” Benes. She loved spending time with her special friends, Sue DeBoer, Linda Broward, Mary Parchert, and James Hilton. Also, her church and friends in faith from the United Methodist Church of the Dunes. Her many friends who shared her love of music brought her so much joy and laughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aldrich Benes, and Delores (Northquist) Benes. A special Thank you to the entire staff at Corewell Butterworth Cancer Center, Lemmon-Holten, and Muskegon Cancer Centers.
A Graveside Service will be held at Lakeshore Cemetery, on Friday, May 31 at 1:30 p.m. for immediate family. Memorials to West Michigan Concert Winds, Shoreline Community Orchestra, and Blue Lake Fine Arts.
