Anita Marie Livingston's Obituary
Anita Marie Livingston, age 90, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born May 3, 1934, in Muskegon to Vernon and Anna (Abrelat) Hoffman. Anita married James Anderson, and together they had four children: Douglas, Kevin, Gary, and Sharon. Later in life, she married Richard Livingston, and he preceded her in death. Anita enjoyed gardening, doing yard work, and spending time outdoors. She also loved to cook and was known to many as the “Tie-Dye Granny”. Anita was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. SURVIVORS include four children: Douglas Anderson of Twin Lake, Kevin (Cathy) Anderson of Walkerville, Gary (Pam) Anderson of Fremont, and Sharon (Vern) Anderson-Sample of North Muskegon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond Wilber of West Virginia. Anita was also preceded in death by a brother, Soni Hoffman. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at Village at the Oaks for the exceptional care given to Anita and the family these last couple of years. A celebration of Anita’s life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 3, 2024 at The Oaks, 1740 Village Dr., Muskegon, MI 49442. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association will be appreciated.
