Anita Mae Priest's Obituary
Anita Mae Priest, age 91, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at her home in Norton Shores. She was born in Maple City, Michigan on April 23, 1932 to James and Edith (Pettengill) Riggs. Anita was employed by Muskegon County for 27.5 years at the County Building as a switchboard operator and in the mail room prior to her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed shopping and overnight trips to the casino. Most importantly, Anita loved her family and friends, and cherished the time spent with them. She is survived by her children, Randall (Janet) Priest, Dennis (Nancy Allison) Priest, Pamela Jensen, and Paula (Bob) Pawlak; seven grandchildren, Gavin (Teresa) Priest, Brent (Mauree) Priest, Brian (Sarah) Priest, Jason (Kyle) Maginity, Joshua (Katie) Jensen, Kelsey Cameron, and Andrea Pawlak; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin (Shirley) Riggs; sister, Jean Nelson; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Vonda Priest; and nine siblings, including her twin sister, Alice Lorenz.
