Ann Marie Carter's Obituary
Ann Marie Carter, age 57, passed away on January 27, 2015. She was born on November 1, 1957 to Anthony and Frances (Kulesza) Kolenic Sr., in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include her husband, Brian Carter; brother, Tony (Maggie) Kolenic; niece, Bethany (Erin) Clark; and nephew, Tony (Giselle) Kolenic. Ann will be remembered for her gentle, generous heart and beautiful, simple soul. She had a fierce love for animals, big and small, and in particular those that needed help. Ann had an eye for noticing those animals that needed a meal or a warm place to sleep, and doing everything in her power to meet their needs, to show them that someone cared. Ann took in many cats over the years and loved each one like they were her own children. In addition to her passion for animals, Ann loved her family and the music of Bobby Vinton. Through her faithful attendance at Bobby Vinton's concerts, she and Brian developed a special friendship with Bobby's son, Robbie, her "star". Ann passed away peacefully at Poppen Residence after a four month battle with cancer. Ann is preceded in death by her father, Tony Kolenic, and her mother, Fran Kolenic, who passed away last year. Her family is certain that Ann and her parents are reunited in Heaven, and that she and her mom have likely reinstituted their weekly pizza lunch, now joined by her dad. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 30, 2015 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. MEMORIALS can be directed to the Poppen Residence.
