Anna C. Hartley-Johnson's Obituary
Anna C. Hartley-Johnson, age 100, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, March 8, 2019. She was born May 31, 1918 in Muskegon to Martin and Agnes (Swagman) DeVries. On June 30, 1938, she married Leslie C. Hartley in Muskegon and he preceded her in death in 1977. Anna then married Ralph “Bud” Johnson on June 1, 1979 in Muskegon and he also preceded her in death on December 24, 2013. She attended Sheridan Drive Baptist Church and loved to play and listen to music. SURVIVORS include 3 children: Russell (Joyce) Hartley of Muskegon, Carole (Andy) Anderson of Twin Lake, Lori (Jack) Perry of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Ellwood Bean; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters. A CELEBRATION OF ANNA’S LIFE will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Sheridan Drive Baptist Church (84 S. Sheridan Drive) with Rev. Stephen Rumley officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Restlawn Cemetery. Memorials to Sheridan Drive Baptist Church will be appreciated.
