Anna M. Kuczmera's Obituary
Anna M. Kuczmera, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 98, met her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 17, 2023. She was born on June 25, 1924, to Demeter and Anna Stefanich in Java, South Dakota, but called Muskegon, MI home most of her life. On June 12, 1943, she married the love her life, William S. Kuczmera in Muskegon, MI. Together they cherished 36 years of love and laughter. Anna was a faithful servant and active member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, where she participated in the women’s auxiliary and also helped with the funeral luncheons. She loved playing Bingo and cards and also pressing her luck at the casino. She was also talented and known to be a perfectionist when it came to her crocheting. Anna was a proud mother, loving grandma and great-grandma, wonderful sister and dear friend to many. Her tender-loving and kind spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Mary Scott of Westland, MI, Susan (Albert) Stickley of Placida, FL and Bill (Hazel) Kuczmera of Ormond Beach, FL; grandchildren, Bob Scott, Mandy (Randy) Tannehill, A.J. (Chelsea) Stickley, Dan (Kristin) Stickley, Bill (Lindsey) Kuczmera, Krystal (Adam) Wiseman, Karl (Katelyn) Kuczmera, Ashley Kuczmera and Claire (David) Salac; 18 great-grandchildren; and several caring nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William S. Kuczmera; sisters, Helen Broner, Pat Kucharzyk and Rose Vallie; and brothers, Frank Stefanich, Joseph Stefanich and Steve Stefanich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2929 McCracken St., Norton Shores, MI 49441 with visitation one-hour prior. A visitation with the family will be held from 5-7:00 PM on Monday, April 24, 2023, at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441.
