Kevin Gilde
Dear Pelton Family, (Sorry for the late response, just found out.)
We, (My husband, Kevin and I, Carol (Diedrich) Gilde are so very sorry for your loss and you have our deepest sympathy and prayers. She will be truly missed and greatly remembered.
My fondest memory of Anna Mae, which was my Mom's niece and my cousin is her Beautiful Smile and Wonderful Laugh and of course lots of kids.
When I, Carol Diedrich was a child we would travel from Grand Rapids to Grand Haven to visit Uncle Hank and Aunt Fannie and then always stop in to see Anna Mae. I loved the fish ponds and picking aspargus and blueberries. Then later, Aunt Fannie (Anna Mae's mother) would make her award winning blueberry pie, which after she passed Anna Mae would make, it was delicious. Jim and Anna Mae came to my wedding in 1973.
My Mom, (Anna Diedrich) would repeatedly say that she introduced Anna Mae to Jim Pelton and got them together, because besides being My Mom's niece, they were good friends in school times being only 4 years apart. So, that being my 28 year older cousin, both sides of the Diedrichs and Brifneks having so many kids, 9 each per family.
My Grandma Diedrich, which was Anna Mae's Grandma also - name was Anna Diedrich, which was my Mom's married name too. When we, as kids would go to Robinson Cemetary to put flowers on the graves, we would be surprised to see our Mother's name on a head stone being the same name as Grandma and she was living at that time. Being almost 71 years old myself, I have so many wonderful and happy memories having family such as all of you. Take care and So Very Sorry Penny, Jim, Nancy, Jill and Jack. for your loss. And So sorry for your loss of Bruce. Love ya all, Cuz Carol and Kevin
