Anna Vander Jagt's Obituary
Mrs. Anna Vander Jagt, age 95, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Grand Haven. She was born on April 10, 1920 in Muskegon to Emery and Eva (Pavlic) Ripka and was a lifelong resident of this area. She married Leonard Vander Jagt on April 4, 1940 and he preceded her in death. Anna was a longtime member of Fruitport Congregational U.C.C. and was a volunteer at Fruitport Edgewood schools for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, dancing, 4H and working on the farm but most of all she enjoyed being with her family and going to all of their sports activities. SURVIVORS include her 4 daughters, Sandra (Ken) Kriger, Sharon Vander Jagt, Sylvia Mead and Sheila (Jim) Romberger; brother, George Ripka; sister-in-law, Johanna Ripka; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great- great-grandchild. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jack Mead; 4 brothers and 2 sisters; 1 granddaughter; and 1 great-great-grandson. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11AM on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Fruitport Congregational U.C.C. with Pastor Don Wood officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will take place at Nunica Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Fruitport Congregational U.C.C.
