Anna Theresa Vukits' Obituary
Anna Theresa Vukits, age 93, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at The Poppen Residence. She was born October 16, 1931 in Muskegon Heights, MI to Fred and Mary (Hodits) Vukits and was a lifelong resident of the area. Anna graduated from St. Mary’s High School. She worked 40 years as the office manager for Prudential Insurance Agency and retired in 1989. Anna was a longtime and active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church until they closed and transferred her membership to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was the past president of Quadrangle Business and Professional Women’s Organization. SURVIVORS include her nieces and nephews: Sherrill A. Petti, Linda M. (David) Beurkens, Monica A. (Gary) Andrews, James S. Vukits, Jeffery T. (Sally) Vukits, Paul R. Vukits, Barbara A. Vukits, Thomas J. Vukits, and Beverly E. Groneck. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Joseph and Ernest Vukits; and 1 sister, Helen Petti; a nephew, Charles E. Petti; and a niece, Carol A. Cleaver. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in The Marian Chapel of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2929 McCracken Street, Norton Shores, MI 49441, with visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be directed to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church or Catholic Relief Services.
