Anna R. "Ann" Van Zanten's Obituary
On December 17, 2010, Mrs. Anna R. “Ann” Van Zanten passed away with her family by her side. Heaven welcomed in the perfect portrait of a lady, who left behind the most beautiful legacy. She was born October 19, 1923 in Muskegon Heights, MI to Rood and Corabell (Dove) Vaughn. Mrs. Van Zanten was a Realtor/Broker for Sullivan Realty, R.J. Ide Realty, and Ann Van Zanten’s Realty for 30 years before retiring in 1985. On April 25, 1942 she married Dirk C. Van Zanten in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2006. She enjoyed reading her Bible and singing. Friends and family will always remember her loving, compassionate, and giving heart. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Patricia (Jaime) Bourgeois of Woodland Park, CO, Dirk (Debra) Van Zanten of Cedar Springs, MI, Trudy Starling of Muskegon, Judy (Richard) Yonkers of Norton Shores; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Vaughn of Fruitport; and a sister in the Lord, Gerri Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her parents; great-grandson, Nicholas Ryan Murphy in 2008; brother, Kenneth; and sister, Marketa. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with Pastor Tim Cross officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday. MEMORIALS to the Living Word Church Memorial Fund will be appreciated.
