Anna Ruth Klemp's Obituary
Mrs. Anna Ruth Klemp, age 90, passed away early Saturday morning, August 22, 2009 at Mercy Hospital. She was born September 27, 1918 in Muskegon to Albert and Susan (VanderMolen) Maring and had been a life resident of the area. Ann had been employed many years at Sealed Power Corp prior to her retirement in 1983; and had previously been employed at Gibson Sheet Metal. She was a lifelong member of First Reformed Church before becoming a current member of Hope Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Klemp; 3 brothers, Alvin, Peter and Jerry Maring and by her sister, Verna Cihak. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, David Knight of Santa Rosa, CA, Bob Knight of Placentia, CA, 2 grandchildren, Haley Knight and Jason (Jeanette) McNeeley (whose mother is Irene Knight); 4 great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Jaiden, Laureen and Madison McNeeley; 1 brother, Robert Maring of Grand Rapids, MI and by 2 sisters, Sue (Marv) DeWall of Muskegon and Lois (Bob) Bishop of Redland, CA. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 11 AM Friday, August 28, 2009 at Hope Reformed Church (1878 Evanston Ave at Quarterline Rd.) with Pastor Steve Hyma officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION with Ann’s family will be one-hour prior to the service at the church. For a more lasting memorial, you are asked to consider Hope Reformed Church.
