Anne Marie Burman's Obituary
Anne Marie Burman, age 94, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024 in Muskegon. She was born September 19, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Albin and Martha (Runstrom) Burman. Anne was a graduate of Central Michigan University where she earned her teaching degree. She taught 5th and 6th grades and had been a librarian for the Fruitport School system prior to her retirement in 1979. Anne was a lifelong member of Samuel Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She volunteered for many, many, years at the Muskegon Museum of History and Science of the Lakeshore Museum Center and also did archiving at the Hackley Library. Anne loved to travel and truly enjoyed her experiences in Africa. She loved animals domestic and worldwide and enjoyed the companionship of her Shih Tzu’s for over a 36-year span and her many cats. Most of all, she loved spending time with her dear sister, Margaret. She will be greatly missed. Her family would like to give a special thanks for the loving care by her providers in home, Comfort Keepers, and residential care, Harbor Hospice, and the staff at Seminole Shores Assisted Living during her illness. SURVIVORS include her sister, Margaret Burman, and many cousins in the United States and Sweden. She was preceded in death by her parents.
