Anne Kosanic's Obituary
Anne Kosanic, age 92, of Spring Lake, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at a local care facility. She was born May 6, 1916 in Muskegon to Steve and Anna (Jandris) Radakovitz and married Thomas Kosanic on August 16,1941. He preceded her in death in November, 1975.
Mrs. Kosanic lived most of her life in the Spring Lake area and was the lunch program supervisor for St. Mary’s School which she and her mother-in-law started. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed catering, cooking and gardening. Mrs. Kosanic was also a member of the Grand Haven Garden Club, St. Mary’s Alter Society and the Slovenian Farmer’s Club.
Her survivors include one daughter; Patricia Ostberg of Oakville, Ontario, Canada, two sons; Butch (JoAnn) Kosanic and Steve (Sherri) Kosanic both of Grand Haven; six grand-children; Ryan (Alyssa) Kosanic, Brooke Kosanic, Thomas Kosanic, Geena Kosanic, Kirsten Ostberg and Annelise Ostberg, two great grandchildren; Jadyn Kosanic and Payton Kosanic. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Kosanic, two sisters; Minnie Radakovitz and Mary Radakovitz, and three brothers; Pete Radakovitz, Bill Radakovitz, and Jim Radakovitz.
The funeral liturgy for Mrs. Kosanic will be held on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Leonard Sudlik officiating. Friends may meet the family on Thursday, November 13, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad in Grand Haven (Please use East Entrance).
