Anne M. Mattzela's Obituary
Anne M. Mattzela, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. She was born on February 17, 1939 to Thomas and Ester (Centilli) LeMarbre in Grand Rapids. On October 24, 1964 she married the love of her life, Leonard Mattzela, and they spent 54 happy years together. Anne was a talented singer and artist. She spent many years painting homes and businesses windows with wonderful Christmas themes. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church until her health started to decline. She was a member of the North Muskegon TOPS club for over 30 years. Anne will be missed by all who knew her. Anne is survived by her husband, Leonard; children, Randy (Lisa) Mattzela, Barbara Mattzela; grandchildren, Connor, Spencer, Olivia and Janie; siblings, Margaret, Theresa (Adan), and Jim; numerous nieces, nephews and loving extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tom and Steve. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Anne will take place on Friday, October 18, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 at 11:00 AM with visitation taking place one hour prior to the service. For a more lasting memory donations in Anne’s name can be made to either the American Diabetes Association or The American Cancer Society.
