Anne Mae (Adamczak) Yorks' Obituary
Anne Mae (Adamczak) Yorks age 95, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Surfside Beach, SC. Born in Muskegon Heights, MI, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary Dzuira. Anne was a member of the Polish Falcons and the Polka Melodies. She loved to dance the polka, play cards and golf. She enjoyed shuffle board and won many awards for it. She graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1939 and served on the class reunion community for many years. She was a bookkeeper for the local 637 for 25 years before her retirement in 1982. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Adamczak and her second husband, Ben Yorks. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Adamczak and siblings, Michael Holtz, William Holtz, Flora Chandonnet, Mary Alexander, Stella Arnoldi and Joseph Holtz. Survivors include her children, Maryetta Carlson (Paul) of Surfside Beach, SC, David Adamczak (Kathy) of Muskegon, MI, Brian Adamczak and fiancee (Rebecca) of Muskegon, MI a stepson, Ben Yorks (Alice) of Greensboro, NC; daughters-in-law, Cathy Adamczak of Brooksville, FL and Bonnie Adamczak (Dave Brown) of Muskegon, MI; grandchildren, Julie Adamczak, Jeff Carlson (Denise), Nick Adamczak, Mike Leydet, Matt Adamczak (Kathy), Brooke Adamczak, Blaire Adamczak, Ben Yorks (Cindy), Rebecca Evangelou (Jason), Janson Yorks (Jennifer); great grandchildren, Tiffany Golondo, Nora Rose Adamczak, Benjamin Yorks, Maximillian Yorks, Benton Yorks, Isaiah Yorks and many loved nieces and nephews, special friends and furry loves of her life, Brandy her "Punkin" and Bailey. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, June 8, 2017 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the Salvation Army or the Muskegon Catholic Central Education Fund will be appreciated.
