Annedean H. Drake (Gowell)'s Obituary
Mrs. Annedean H. Drake (Gowell) of Fruitport, age 91, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019. She was born June 21, 1928 in Petoskey, Michigan to Joseph and Olive (Watkins) Harper. She had worked at Harbor Steel Industry for many years and later at Bennett Pump Company as Advertising Manager. Following retirement, she formed The Drake Advertising Agency, but her biggest joy was God, her family and friends. She was a longtime member of Wright Seventh-day Adventist Church. Ann is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Rex) Burkall; son, Ken Gowell; former daughter-in-law, Deb Gowell; grandchildren, Dr. Amanda (Nelson) Griffin, Hunter (Ladda) Burkall, Casey Burkall, Cameron (Shaina) Gowell, Stephen Gowell; and sister, Catherine (Bruce) Kleinhenz. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; niece, Jennifer (Tony) Ostolano and nephew, Chris Kleinhenz. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 3PM on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444, 231-798-1100. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Wright Seventh-day Adventist Church, 16429 40th Ave., Coopersville, MI 49404.
