Annette Van Slooten's Obituary
Annette Van Slooten, age 96, of Jenison passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011, at the Heartwood Lodge Hospice Residence. She was born November 28, 1914, in Lucas, MI, to Paul and Winnie (Neinhouse) Dowlyn. She married Nicholas Van Slooten on May 28, 1937, in Tustin, MI, and he preceded her in death in January 1988.
Mrs. Van Slooten was a member of East Cutlerville Christian Reformed Church, and she enjoyed sewing and traveling.
She is lovingly remembered by one daughter, Delores (Jim) Bommelje of Allendale; two sons, Nicholas J. (Patricia) Van Slooten of Spring Lake and Paul (Carol) Van Slooten of Elliot, Maine; three grandchildren: Tamara (Robert) Pachl, Nancy (Brian) Bowkamp, and Caitlin Van Slooten; and two great-grandchildren, Shelby and Layne. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Morhauser.
The service for Annette will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont, MI.
