Annette Josephine "Jo" Feltman's Obituary
Mrs. Annette Josephine “Jo” Feltman, age 101, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, May 29, 2011 in Spring, Texas. She was born June 1, 1909 in Muskegon to Alex and Alydia (Veneklasen) Smith. Jo and her family were charter members of Unity Reformed Church, where she served on many committees, taught Sunday School, and sang in the choir. She spent over 100 years in regular attendance at Unity Reformed Church. Jo spent 100 plus years in the Muskegon area, working and retiring from Hardy-Herpolsheimers Department Store. She spent her last twenty years in Muskegon living at Pine Grove Manor Retirement Home on Apple Avenue. On June 1, 1929 she married George Feltman in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on October 24, 1975. She is survived by her loving daughters, Kay (Charles) Morse of Spring, Texas, Maralee Oder of Hiram, Georgia; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 granddaughters, Cynthia Morse-DeVinney and Lynette Jo Morse-Rankin; son-in-law, Ken Oder; 4 brothers, Lawrence, Preston, Fred, and Eugene Smith. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Unity Reformed Church with Rev. James Bos and her grandson, Rev. James DuBois, pastor of First Baptist Church in Waldo, Florida, officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with the family will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday, June 6, 2011 at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210. MEMORIALS to the Unity Reformed Church Memorial Fund will be appreciated.
