Ann Mary (Aderhold) Guikema's Obituary
Mrs. Ann Mary (Aderhold) Guikema, age 82, met face to face with her heavenly Father on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Christian Care Assisted Living Center. She was born August 9, 1929 in Williamsport, PA to Howell and Henrietta (Thorton) Aderhold and lived in the Muskegon area since 1939. On June 22, 1951, she married Henry Guikema in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on October 20, 2003. Ann was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and shared her love of the Lord with all who she met. She will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Susan (Jay) Ferguson, Barbara (Matthew) Smith, Scott (Connie) Guikema, Lois Sprague, Janet (Dale) Rossman all of Muskegon, and Sharon (Carlos) Escalante of Reeman; 25 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Doris (Dale) Metzger of Williamsport, PA, and Maxine Kleyn of Muskegon; 2 sisters-in-law; 1 half-brother and 2 half-sisters; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Edward Aderhold, 1 sister, Vivian Wagner and 1 half-brother. A FUNERAL SERVICE to celebrate Ann’s life will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Reeman Christian Reformed Church (6121 S. Fitzgerald, Fremont) with Pastor Les VanDyke officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Reeman Cemetery. VISITATION will be 7-9 PM Monday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210. Visitation will also be held 10-11 AM Tuesday at the church.
