Anthony J. "Tony" Bartholomew's Obituary
Anthony J. “Tony” Bartholomew, age 55, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Spectrum Health – Butterworth in Grand Rapids. Tony courageously fought over two decades of devastating health issues. He endured so much pain and suffering, staying strong and determined to get home to his family. Amazingly, the love for his family gave him the strength to keep fighting until his body could no longer fight. He was born September 28, 1967, in Muskegon to Richard and Virginia (Aldrich) Bartholomew and was a lifelong resident of the area. Tony worked at Eagle-Ottawa and later co-owned B & B Carpet Installers for many years. On October 31, 2021, he married Stacy Lynn Welch in Twin Lake, and she survives him. Tony loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. His time spent with his kids and grandkids were his favorite times. Survivors include his loving wife, Stacy Bartholomew; 2 daughters, Ashlie Bartholomew, Kaitlyne Lynn; 2 grandchildren, Gabriel and Jaxon; 1 brother, Jeff (Linda) Bartholomew; 4 sisters, Peggy Dean, Lori (Jim) Smith, Nancy (John) Rowe, Pam (Terry) Grimm; his father-in-law, Leslie Lockhart; his brothers-in-law, Matthew Carroll, Dustin Lockhart and Jesse Lockhart; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Joseph Bartholomew; mother-in-law, Juanita Lockhart; step-father-in-law, Charles Carroll II; and brother-in-law, Charles Carroll III. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 1st at Noon at the Fruitport Eagles. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family.
