Anthony "Tony" Casadonte's Obituary
Mr. Anthony Joseph “Tony” Casadonte, age 93, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 25, 2014, at a local nursing home. Tony was born October 24, 1920 in Muskegon to Nicholas and Catherine (Macri) Casadonte. He was a self-taught metallurgist and the owner of Casadonte Research Laboratories, doing testing and research for other companies from 1945-1995. On May 26, 1961, Tony married the former Cordelia Anderson and she preceded him in death on September 25, 1997. Tony, early in his life, attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, was a life member of the Muskegon Elks, and a former member of the Foundry Men Association. He enjoyed wood and metal working, working in his lab, and bowling. Anthony is survived by his two nieces, Mary Ann (David) Janusiewicz and Patti (Robert) Centner; step daughter-in-law, Sally Anderson; stepson, Duane (Sue) Anderson; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; step-grandchildren; and step great-great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Cordelia, he was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Olson; and 4 other siblings; brother-in-law Paul Olson; and stepson Norm Anderson. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 30, 2014, at The Lee Chapel 6219 S. Harvey St.
