Mr. Anthony J. "Tony" Doremire's Obituary
Mr. Anthony J. “Tony” Doremire, age 31, passed away Friday morning, February 3, 2012 as the result of a car accident in Ottawa County, MI. He was born April 8, 1980 in Grand Haven, MI and lived his entire life in the area. On March 6, 2004, he married the former Stephanie A. Reinecke and she survives him along with his 3 beloved daughters, Kennedy, Kassie, and Kelsey – his “#1” priority in life. Tony worked in the construction industry for over 10 years with Brad Couch Construction and Riverstone Construction and currently worked as a machinist for Haworth Office Furniture in Holland, MI the past year. Tony was currently earning his college degree in human resources so he could help better the lives of his fellow workers. Just this past Thursday, Tony received 100% on a speech he gave about success – he measured success by pride. Tony was a “fun guy” who never knew a stranger – only friends he hadn’t met yet. He was the eternal optimist and always looked for the best in every situation. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed golfing and skiing. His favorite sports teams were Notre Dame and the Detroit Lions. Tony was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake. He will be sorely missed by all of his family and close friends. Along with his wife and daughters, he is SURVIVED by his parents, Mike & Gina Doremire of Fruitport; his brother, DJ (friend, Angie Guerrero) Doremire of Muskegon; his 2 sisters, Mari (Paul) Schultz of Nunica and Ashley (fiancé, Toby Cook) Doremire of Fruitport; grandparents, Lois Michelli, Melvin Doremire; Stephanie’s parents, John & Marion Marquardt of Norton Shores and John (fiancée, Alicia) Reinecke of Muskegon; Stephanie’s brothers, Jacob (April) Reinecke of Roosevelt Park and Christopher (Jamie) Marquardt of Norton Shores; Stephanie’s grandmother, Hildegard Bennett; and Stephanie’s nephews, Zachary and Brayden Reinecke. He was preceded in death by family members, David Bates; Don & Marie Bates; Robert Michelli and Eleanor Doremire. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake (406 E. Savidge St.) with Rev. Fr. Daniel R. DePew as celebrant. INTERMENT will take place at Fruitport Cemetery. VISITATION will be held 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, (231) 798-1100. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Mass, 10-11 AM Wednesday at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to the Education Fund for Kennedy, Kassie, and Kelsey Doremire.
