Anthony “Tony” Giaimo III, age 73, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at his home. He was born July 4, 1952 in East Grand Rapids, MI and lived in the Jenison area before moving to the Muskegon area. On December 10, 2016, he married Dawn L. Sugden in Jenison, MI. Tony was a veteran of the US. Coast Guard. He was self-employed as a marine mechanic for many years and had also plowed snow for many seasons. Survivors include his wife, Dawn Giaimo; 3 stepchildren, Joseph (Lezley) Sugden, Kelli (Norman) James, Chad (Michelle) Hart; 2 granddaughters; 3 sisters, Kathryn “Kati” Gray, Christi “Chris” Soules, and Kim Verwys. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald E. and Mary Jane (Williams) Verwys. In honoring Tony’s wishes, a private burial with Military Honors will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
