Antoinette "Toni" Whitworth's Obituary
Mrs. Antoinette M. “Toni” Whitworth, age 92, died Saturday afternoon, June 26, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Suzette. She was born May 22, 1918 in Chicago, IL to John Florian and Mary Pauline (Vujnovich) Mundjer; and had resided in the Muskegon area since 1959, moving here from Battle Creek. “Toni” was a member and had been an avid volunteer of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. She was a wonderful seamstress and a ‘Fine Artist’ displaying her artwork at the Wren Gallery and Gallery Upstairs (Grand Haven). Toni was the director of the inaugural Seaway Festival Art Fair and was also a member of the Muskegon Printmakers and of the Muskegon Fine Arts Guild. On July 21, 1945, she married Herbert Whitworth and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her five siblings. SURVIVORS include 3 children, John B. Whitworth, Suzette & Dr. Dale Heeres and Renee and Jesse Doan, all of Norton Shores; 6 grandchildren, Gabe (Tonya) Heeres, Adam (fiancée Erin) Doan, Melissa (Nate Dove) Whitworth, Dr. D’Andrea (Erik) Heeres, Ryan Whitworth and Courtney (Brian) Leibrandt; 1 great-granddaughter, Mya Worel-Whitworth and by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. Burial will be in Norton Cemetery. VISITATION with Antoinette’s family will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100).
