Ardis C. Janusiewicz's Obituary
Mrs. Ardis C. Janusiewicz, 89, passed away Friday evening, April 25, 2014 in Muskegon. She was born July 10, 1924 to John and Gladys (Cleveland) Petyans in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. On January 26, 1946 she married Chester “Chet” Janusiewicz, who preceded her in death on December 19, 1956. Ardis was long-time member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a devoted Tigers fan. She loved her family and spending time with her grand/great-grandchildren; enjoyed playing bingo, dominoes and cards with her friends at the Oaks; and in her younger days bowling and traveling. She worked at S. D. Warren/Sappi before retiring in 1989, and at Continental Motors during WWII. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Paul Janusiewicz, David (Mary Ann) Janusiewicz, Joseph Janusiewicz and Janis (Rich) Allard, all of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer (Bryan) Fethke, Elisabeth Janusiewicz, Jason Janusiewicz, Michelle (Jim) Johnson, Maren (Mike) Bronkema, Tyler (Alyssa Price) Janusiewicz and Andrew Janusiewicz; 1 great granddaughter, Allyson Fethke; 1 brother, John (Dot Gilland) Peteyanas of Muskegon; 1 sister, Barbara Beck of Muskegon; 3 sisters-in-law Irene Langoni of Muskegon, Marcie Stewart of New Berlin, WI and Maxine (Jerry) Johnson of Grafton, WI; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gordon Petyanus; her sister, Audrey Stafford; brothers-in-law Ed Janusiewicz, John Langoni, Carl Stafford, Art Beck, Gene Janusiewicz and Curt Stewart; sisters-in-law Janet Janusiewicz, Lillian Petyanus, Betty Janusiewicz and Norlyn Peteyanas; and 4 nieces and nephews. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Anthony M. Pelak presiding. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
