Arleen Wildey's Obituary
Mrs. Arleen Wildey, age 89, of Grand Haven, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017. She was born May 5, 1928 in Grand Haven to Leendert and Johanna (Klop) Van Zomeren. On September 19, 1947 she married Clifford W. Wildey at First Reformed Church in Spring Lake and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1997.
Arleen was a former member of First Reformed Church and Christ Community Church and retired from Spring Lake Public School. She loved to travel and spending time wintering in Arizona. Arleen enjoyed singing in a choral group, quilting, ceramics, and other artistic activities.
She is survived by four children: Jannea (Ed) Crisman of Hudsonville, Roger (Phyllis) Wildey of Grand Rapids, Lori (Mark) Foltz of Grand Haven, and Craig (Tracy) Wildey of Abilene, Kansas; eight grandchildren: Jonathan (Lyndsey) Crisman, Jennifer (Landry) Coffey, Corene (Dan) D’Addona, Evan (Stephanie) Wildey, Ian (fiancée, Amber Brownlie) Foltz, Aldyn, Carter, and Cooper Wildey; six great-grandchildren: Kylie, Meric, Nylah Coffey, Lena, Mara D’Addona, Evalyn Wildey; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Georgia Evalyn (daughter of Evan and Stephanie Wildey); three siblings: Henrietta (Jack) Bosch, Hazel (Claude) Kuiper and twin sister, Joan (Leon) Nienhouse.
In keeping with Arleen’s wishes there will be no formal memorial service, but a celebration of life will take place 4-6 PM Friday, December 8, 2017 at The VanZantwick Chapel (620 Washington Ave).
