Arleen P. Bader's Obituary
Mrs. Arleen P. Bader, age 91, passed away Tuesday evening, following a brief illness. She was born in Big Rapids, MI on May 28, 1918, the youngest of 3 children to Ernest and Matilda (Vietzske) Cox. She married Mr. Clarence E. Bader in Big Rapids on April 20, 1940 and shortly thereafter moved to Muskegon. Mr. Bader preceded her in death on January 7, 1976. Until her retirement in 1985, Mrs. Bader was employed for 25 years as a school bus driver for the Mona Shores School District. Arleen lived her 91 years to its fullest and was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She was a member at St. Mark Lutheran Church and the Muskegon Hts. Eagles and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Mercy Hospital and at the Frauenthal Center. She is survived by: daughter, Norma Jean (David) Sass of Novi, MI; two sons, Edward K. (Sandy) Bader of Lake Elsinore, CA and Leslie C. Bader of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren, Michael (Denise) Bader, Scott (Vicky) Bader, Kara Sass, Andrew (Kim) Sass and Kendra (Ryan) Fecho; 4 great-grandchildren; her special friend, Lyman Seng and a host of close and special friends. The funeral service will be held at: St. Mark Lutheran Church, 4475 Henry St., 10:00 A.M., Saturday, Rev. Mark Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be held at: The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 Friday, 5-8 P.M. She will be laid to rest in Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial Contributions: St. Mark Lutheran Church or American Diabetes Association.
