Mrs. Arlene Frances Cecil's Obituary
Mrs. Arlene Frances Cecil, age 81, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2015. She was born in Santa Barbara, CA on November 1, 1934 to Virgil and Frances (Niles) Lytel. Arlene had worked for 15 years as a Nurses Aid at Hackley Hospital before buying and operating Cecil Adult Foster Care for 24 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Arlene enjoyed roller skating, bowling and she loved to sing. She was also a loyal San Francisco 49ers and LA Lakers fan. Arlene was a kid at heart and playing with her kids and grandkids brought her the most joy. On August 3, 1972, Arlene married Donald Cecil in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2015. She is survived by her children, Ken (Juliet) Brandel, II, Edward (Lisa) Brandel, Joe (Brenda) Brandel, Anthony Brandel, Suzanne Victoria (Andrew) Pastars, David (Kelly) Cecil, and Donald (Sharon) Cecil, Jr.; one son-in-law, Terry Scott; 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; her brother, Roy T. (Ginger) Warren, Jr.; her sister, Carol (Jim) Harris; and her former husband, Kenneth B Brandel. In addition to her husband, Arlene was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynne Scott; her parents; her step-dad, Roy Warren; and one brother, Daryl Warren. SERVICES for Arlene will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2015 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be from 5-8 PM Friday, December 11, 2015. In honor and love for her grandchildren, MEMORIALS may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
