Arlene Fox's Obituary
Mrs. Arlene C. Fox, 81, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011, in North Muskegon. She was born September 29, 1929 to Joseph and Jessie (Belanger) Lavasseur, and was the widow of Bruce A. Fox who died January 30, 2005. Arlene had been employed for several years as a bridal consultant at Hardy-Herpolsheimer’s Department Store. When Bruce retired they spent summers near Walkerville and winters in Largo, Florida. Arlene continued to live in Florida after Bruce’s death, and was a member of the Red Hat Society, and had worked as a consultant for Carefree Travel in Florida. She moved back to Muskegon two months ago. Her SURVIVORS include two daughters: Jean (Peter) Lynch of North Muskegon and Linda (Brad) Hendrie of Norton Shores; two grandchildren: Amy Hertel and Brian Lynch; a great-granddaughter, Claire; her sister, Rosalie Dunbar; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce, and two brothers: Eugene and George Lavasseur. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL for Mrs. Fox will be held 11 AM Monday, March 7, 2011 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Tony Pelak as Presider. VISITATION with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Harbor Hospice would be appreciated.
