Arlene H. Meyers' Obituary
Mrs. Arlene H. Meyers, age 86, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 in Muskegon. She was born on October 21, 1927 in Muskegon to Raymond and Hilda (Miedema) Kulicamp, and was a life long resident of the area. Mrs. Meyers was a member of Olivet Reformed Church and Fifth Reformed Church, where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. She also loved traveling, cooking and needlepoint work, birds, scrabble, baking good pies, but most of all her family and reading to her grandchildren. On September 14, 1951, she married Eugene Meyers at Covenant Reformed Church and spent 62 years of marriage together. SURVIVORS include her husband, Eugene; son, David (Merry Kim) Meyers of Greenville; daughter, Laura (Richard Platt) Platt of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mrs. Meyers was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Hilda Kulicamp. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 1PM Thursday, March 27 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Pastor Jim VanderMeiden officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, March 25. Burial will take place in Mona View Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Arlene’s name to Brookhaven’s Autumn Alzheimer’s Floor would be appreciated.
