Arlene Mary Seidl's Obituary
Arlene Mary Seidl (Richards), age 86, went to be with her Lord on February 18, 2023. She was born on March 14, 1936, in Manistique, MI, to William and Emma (Mitchell) Richards and was the youngest of five children. She graduated from North Muskegon High School in 1954. Arlene married Arnold Seidl in 1956 and he preceded her in death in 1997. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Over the years she worked at Ryke’s Bakery, Old Country Buffett and Fazoli’s. Arlene was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her family – especially camping and traveling. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by daughters Fran (Guppy) Grabe of Muskegon, MI, Lynne (Dick) Wagenmaker of Brighton, MI, son Marty (Brenda) Seidl of Muskegon, MI, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; in-laws, Wilma Seidl, Chris Winchel, and Carl Seidl; and special friend Daughn Butler. She was also preceded in death by a son Arnold (Poke) H. Seidl, two sisters and two brothers. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 24, at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 3252 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass, also at church. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Mausoleum. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Seidl may be made to Special Olympics of Michigan or St. Thomas Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
