Arlene G. Zadonick's Obituary
Arlene G. Zadonick, age 86, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at The Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice. She was born January 3, 1938 in Muskegon to Archie E. and Marian (Vandenberg) Larabee and lived in the area all of her life. On January 26, 1957, she married Franklin D. Zadonick in Muskegon and he survives her. Arlene was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church. She also volunteered as a counselor at Muskegon Pregnancy Services, Women’s Aglow and the Red Hatters Society. She loved her family, all intramural sports and as a young mother, played volleyball, baseball, and basketball. Arlene enjoyed all kinds of music, singing as well as playing the flute and piccolo. She was an avid reader. Survivors include her loving husband, Frank; 4 daughters, Christine M. (Robert) DuVall, Connie L. (David) Schulte, Denise A. (Scott) Graham, Linda K. (Bill) Sheppard; 12 grandchildren, Laina (Steve) Glascock, Jenna (Lee) Franklin, Jordan DuVall, Seth (Sarah) DuVall, Jared (Laura) Schulte, Chase DuVall, Evan DuVall, Kayla (Zach) Klairter, Ellie (Justin) McPherson, Blake (Laura) Graham, Phillip (Ashley) Graham, Weston Graham; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, Arthur (Barbara) Larabee; and 2 nephews Jim Connell, and Eric Larabee. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Marilyn Connell. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 2, 2024 at Trinity Baptist Church (4381 S. Sheridan Drive) with Pastor Scott Church officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association of West Michigan.
