Armand R. Story's Obituary
Mr. Armand R. Story, age 66, of Grand Haven, Michigan and Grant Park, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at home. He was born April 16, 1946 in Kankakee, Illinois to Burt Williams and Frances Houde.
He served in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post #28. He was a talented wood carver and enjoyed painting, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
On March 5, 1966 he married Joann Deatti in Kankakee and she survives him along with 4 daughters: Suzanne Mosier of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Renee (Michael) Warmoth of Grand Haven, Jacquelyn (Bill) Hoffman of Spring Lake, and Vickey (Kyle) Moore of Hartland, Wisconsin; 9 grandchildren: Zachery and Mitchell Mosier, Rilley, Will, Chloe Warmoth, Cole and Alec Hoffman, Nate and Aaron Moore; 2 brothers, Larry (Deborah) Story and Bruce (Carole) Story; 1 sister, Barbara Banta and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and LeRoy Story; and his father, Burt Williams.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 25, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake with Rev. Father Daniel DePew presiding. Visitation will take place 6-8 PM Thursday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven and 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place in Lake Forest Cemetery.
