Mr. Arnold Bartels, age 85, died Tuesday evening, February 14, 2006. He was born September 18, 1920 in Muskegon to Herman and Clara (Zwemer) Bartels and had been a life resident. Mr. Bartels was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII. He was a city accessor for the City of Muskegon Heights for 18 years and had also worked for Bartels and Brothers Construction. Mr. Bartels was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church. He married the former Harriet Wyn, and she preceded him in death on April 30, 1995. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Arnette (John) Kraus of Grand Rapids, John (Kathy) Bartels of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren, Paul, Michael and Andrew Kraus of Grand Rapids, David, Karyn Bartels of Kalamazoo; sisters-in-law, Ruth Carlisle,Mary Bartels, and Nancy Bartels, all of Muskegon; brother-in-law, John (Yvonne) Wyn of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Rudy, Cornell, Cliff, Herbert, and Les; and a sister, Marie. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Friday at Calvin Christian Reformed Church with Rev. John Rop officiating. Burial will be in Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday at
