Arnold "Mick" Wolverton's Obituary
Arnold “Mick” Wolverton, age 75, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at his home in Muskegon, MI, on November 28, 2023. Mick was born on August 6, 1948, to Everett and Aleta (Hogan) Wolverton. Mick grew up in Ravenna, MI, and graduated from Ravenna High School. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He married the former Roberta “Robbie” Mobley on July 16, 2005, and they were married for 18 wonderful years. He loved football, especially the Detroit Lions, and he always kept up with the Ravenna High School team. He loved spending time working on his many John Deere tractors, and he was always quick to help others in whatever ways he could. He loved listening to gospel music and was also a fan of Conway Twitty. More than anything Mick enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Roberta Wolverton; six children: Christine (Marc Lyday) Wolverton-Middlecamp, Karen Wolverton, Angie Wolverton, Brian (Andrea Pesch) Wolverton, Nikki (Darin) Carmean, and Samantha (Matthew) Dutton; two stepchildren: Donna (Scott) Goetz and Michelle DeLora; many grandchildren and step-grandchildren; brother, Ronald Wolverton; and his beloved dog, Woody. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Aleta Wolverton; and two siblings: Sharon (William) Badeaux and Dale (Cathy) Wolverton. Per Mick’s requests there will be no services taking place at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Harbor Hospice Foundation. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI, 49442.
