Arnold E. VanderKooi's Obituary
Mr. Arnold E. VanderKooi, age 71, died Sunday, October 8, 2006 at the Poppen Residence. He was born March 23, 1936 to Walter and Margaret (VanderStelt) VanderKooi, and was a life resident of Muskegon. He had worked at Mona Shores Schools as a custodian for many years, and also served as a part-time firefighter for Muskegon Twp. Mr. VanderKooi attended Berean Church. SURVIVORS include his wife of 48 years, the former Marian Osborn; 2 daughters, Susan Bennett, and Kimberly (Bruce) Johnson both of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Gregory (Jillian) Murray, Misty Sampsell, Brandy Fisher, Ashley Bennett; 3 great grandchildren, Tanner Sampsell, Mercedes Murray, Kaden Murray; and by his sister, Mary Ann (Harold) Wheeler of Norton Shores. Mr. VanderKooi was preceded in death by his parents, and twin-great grandchildren, Anthony David and Skyann Marie. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held 1 PM Thursday at Berean Church (625 Seminole Rd.) with Pastor Dwight Reed officiating. MEMORIAL GIFTS to Berean Church will be appreciated.
