Arthur Forester's Obituary
Arthur Richard Forester, age 87, passed away on Monday, January 2nd 2017. Art was born on November 13, 1929 to William and Minnie Forester. In 1948 he married the former Sally Shatney and together they were blessed with 4 children and 33 years of marriage before her death in 1981. Art remarried the former Joe-Ann Bennett and she preceded him in death in 2013. Art worked as an inspector at Kaydon for many years until his retirement in the early 1990s. He was a member of Lakeside Eagles. Art enjoyed tinkering with things, hunting, fishing, camping and trips up north. He was a loving, caring, soft spoken man with a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed. Art is survived by his children, Cindy Chapman, Scott (Elaine) Forester and Diane (Denny) Forester; grandchildren, Brandi (Keith), Britt, Brian, Shane (Pat) and Josh; step-daughter, Kim (Steve) Jesse; step-grandchildren, Scott, Sara and Wyatt; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Jo Morrison and Debra Hyde. He was preceded in death by 2 spouses; son Richard Forester; granddaughter, Bree Chapman; his parents; several brothers and sisters; and son-in-law, Jerry Chapman. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 4pm at The Walburn Chapel 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
